$59.99 became $29.99 with student verification
When my annual Strava subscription expired, route creation stopped working. The plan page showed a student option: the regular annual price was $59.99, while verified students could pay $29.99, a 50 percent discount. Graduate students were eligible as well.
What you need
- A current university enrollment
- Your school email address
- An English enrollment certificate in PDF format
SheerID verification, step by step
- Open Strava’s plan page and select Student Discount.
- Choose South Korea and search for your university.
- If only high schools appear, change the school type to university.
- Continue to SheerID and upload an English enrollment certificate.
- After approval, confirm the $29.99 annual price before payment.

In my case, the automated review approved the English certificate within seconds. Korean documents may work, but an English certificate can make matching and verification faster. Prices and eligibility can change, so check the final amount shown by Strava before paying.

스트라바 유료 구독이 끝난 뒤 코스 만들기가 작동하지 않아 요금제를 살펴보다 학생 할인 항목을 발견했습니다. 연간 정가는 $59.99였고 학생 인증 후 $29.99로 결제할 수 있었습니다. 50% 할인이고 대학원 재학생도 대상이었습니다.

- Strava 학생 할인 화면에서 대한민국과 대학 선택
대학이 검색되지 않으면 학교 유형이 고등학교로 설정됐는지 확인하고 대학으로 변경합니다. SheerID 화면에 영문 재학증명서를 올리면 자동 심사가 진행됩니다. 제 경우에는 몇 초 만에 승인됐습니다.
승인 후 최종 결제 화면에서 연 $29.99가 맞는지 확인했습니다. 요금과 대상 조건은 바뀔 수 있으므로 결제 당시 표시되는 금액을 기준으로 판단해야 합니다.
