I am Jisub, a veteran primary school teacher with 14 years of experience, a passionate Randonneur, and an educational policy researcher based in Mokpo, South Korea.

🍎 Professional: A K-Teacher at the Forefront of AI Education My journey began in Busan, where I attended a foreign language high school. My early fascination with international cultures and languages eventually led me to the teaching profession. I started my career in Haenam, the southernmost part of mainland Korea, and have since evolved into a leader in educational technology and policy.

Currently, as a policy researcher and a graduate student specializing in AI Convergence Education, I strive to balance innovation with pedagogical integrity. I recently testified at a National Assembly hearing to provide professional insights into the implementation of AI Digital Textbooks (AIDT) in Korea.

🚴 Passion: A K-Cycle Pushing Limits Across the Nation Cycling has been part of my life since childhood. Influenced by a former professional cyclist during my military service, I transitioned into professional road cycling. Over the past decade, I have completed Randonneuring challenges of 200km, 300km, and 400km. My current goal is to ride over 7,000km annually and achieve a podium finish in Team Time Trial (TTT) events.

저는 대한민국 전남 목포에서 14년째 아이들을 가르치고 있는 초등교사이자, 도로 위를 달리는 랜도너(Randonneur), 그리고 교육의 미래를 고민하는 정책 연구가 지섭(Jisub)입니다.

🍎 본업: 교육 정책과 AI의 융합을 꿈꾸는 K-Teacher 저의 배움은 부산에서 시작되었습니다. 외국어고등학교를 다니며 다양한 언어와 문화에 눈을 떴고, 일본 문화에 매료되어 JLPT 2급을 따며 유학을 꿈꾸기도 했습니다. 하지만 운명처럼 진주교대에 진학하여 교직의 길로 들어섰고, ‘땅끝’ 해남의 우수영초등학교에서 교사로서의 첫발을 내디뎠습니다.

지난 14년 동안 담임교사, 영어전담교사, 정보부장 등을 거치며 현장 경험을 쌓았습니다. 특히 목포 SW체험센터 근무와 전남교사노동조합 정책국장 활동을 통해 교육 생태계 전반에 대해 깊이 고민하게 되었습니다. 현재는 전라남도교육청 정책연구소 파견교사로서 AI 융합 교육을 전공하며, 최근에는 국회 청문회에 참고인으로 출석해 AI 디지털 교과서(AIDT) 도입에 대한 현장 교사들의 목소리를 대변하기도 했습니다.

🚴 열정: 한계를 넘어 전국을 달리는 K-Cycle 자전거는 제 인생의 오랜 동반자입니다. 초등학생 시절 자전거 등하교로 시작해, 대학 시절 MTB를 거쳐 지금까지 꾸준히 페달을 밟고 있습니다. 군 복무 시절 만난 사이클 선수 출신 동료의 영향으로 전문적인 로드 바이크의 세계에 입문했고, 지난 10년 동안 목포 지역 사회와 함께하며 랜도너스 200, 300, 400km라는 한계에 도전해 왔습니다.

현재 저의 목표는 매년 7,000km 이상을 꾸준히 달리는 것, 그리고 단체전(TTT) 대회에서 동료들과 함께 시상대에 서는 것입니다. 자전거 안장 위에서 바라보는 풍경은 저에게 단순한 운동 이상의 영감을 줍니다.
